Whether these are used elsewhere in Britain or just here in Hitchin, I&#8217;m not sure! There are two at the beginning of the South West corner of St Mary&#8217;s where one cuts through from Market Place past Halseys and <a title=\"The Triangle Caf\u00e9\" href=\"http:\/\/aroundhitchin.net\/?p=10\">The Triangle Caf\u00e9<\/a> to Churchyard, two are at the South East corner by the market on Churchyard Walk South, two are at the North East corner at the end of Churchyard Walk North (Below) and the final two are at the North West corner of Churchyard Walk North by the &#8216;Hippy\/New Age&#8217; shop <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Stripe<\/span> (Above) going through to Moss&#8217;s Corner.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"post-2.jpg\" class=\"imagelink\" href=\"http:\/\/aroundhitchin.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/post-2.jpg\" \/><a title=\"post-1.jpg\" class=\"imagelink\" href=\"http:\/\/aroundhitchin.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/post-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"post-1.jpg\" id=\"image83\" src=\"http:\/\/aroundhitchin.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/post-1.thumbnail.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Churchyard that surrounds St Mary&#8217;s Church is demarcated by these posts.
